I would like to return my order. How do I do that?
If you are considering a return, please review the guidance below based on your reason.
1. Fitment or Installation Issues
If your caliper covers don't appear to fit correctly or you're having trouble installing them, we recommend reviewing our fitment troubleshooting guidance first. It covers common issues such as covers or clips rubbing against the wheel or brake components.
If the issue persists, or you're unsure how to proceed, contact Technical Support using the contact form in the top-right corner of our website and select “I need help with installation.” Include your vehicle information, VIN, order number, and photos of your calipers, covers, and clips when possible.
Our team will troubleshoot the issue and determine the appropriate next step. Depending on the circumstances, this may include installation guidance, a replacement, or an approved return for a refund. Custom-cover exceptions must also be approved by Technical Support.
2. Color or Style Preference
Standard returns for color or style preferences must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Products must be unused and uninstalled and returned with their original packaging and all included components.
Custom covers are not eligible for standard returns or refunds. Exceptions may be approved by Technical Support depending on the circumstances.
General Return Guidelines
- Return window: Standard returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Requests outside this window may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Product condition: All returns are inspected. Installation marks, signs of use, missing components, or damage caused by inadequate return packaging may affect eligibility or the refund amount.
- Restocking fee: A 15% restocking fee, calculated on the product price before tax, may apply depending on the circumstances and inspection findings. When both a restocking fee and a damage-related deduction apply, only the higher of those two amounts will be charged. Missing-component adjustments may be assessed separately.
- Inspection: Our inspection team aims to complete the inspection within three days of delivery to MGP. Customer Service will determine the final refund amount based on the inspection findings.
- Shipping: Return shipping is generally the customer's responsibility for change-of-mind returns or orders placed incorrectly. MGP may cover return shipping for verified product defects or website errors. Customer Service will confirm the arrangement.
- Installation costs: MGP does not reimburse installation or labor costs.
To start a return, contact our Customer Service team through the website contact form. Please wait for RMA approval and return shipping instructions before sending any product back.
For complete details, please review our Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges Policy.
I ordered through a 3rd party (not MGP). How can I check my order status or return an item?
If you purchased from Amazon or another 3rd party, you must contact them directly to process your return.
- Amazon: Sign in to your account → Your Orders → locate your order → click Return items and follow Amazon’s instructions.
Order Status:
We cannot access orders placed through 3rd-party vendors under your name. Please contact the vendor you ordered from for status updates.
- If you have the vendor’s Purchase Order, we may be able to look up your order.
Products in stock typically ship within 2 business days. Out-of-stock items typically require about 2 weeks for manufacturing before shipping.
Do you offer return shipping labels?
If our Tech Support team confirms a product defect or an inaccuracy in the vehicle fitment guide, we’ll provide a return shipping label at no cost to you. All return approvals under these conditions must be completed through Tech Support.
If a return is requested due to personal preference, styling, or incorrect ordering (including selecting the wrong vehicle or model from the dropdown), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Our Tech Support team can also assist with possible exchanges when a correct part number exists for your actual vehicle, even if a different vehicle was selected during ordering.
Why is my vehicle not listed?
If your vehicle is not listed, please fill out our Vehicle Request Form. We will notify you via e-mail when we release a product for your car.
If you are in the San Diego, CA area and would like to bring your vehicle in for development, please notate that on the Vehicle Request Form or contact us.
Other than Year/Make/Model, are there other requirements to ensure fitment?
Yes. Wheel size and offset are also important. The Covers will require your vehicle to have about 3 mm of clearance between the caliper and the inside of the wheel. Check the product page for this critical information before purchasing. Spacers can be provided if they are not already included/known for your make and model.
I don’t have stock wheels, can these covers still fit my vehicle?
Maybe. All R&D was completed using stock wheels for every vehicle in our catalog. Aftermarket wheels may still work, but you’ll need to check for at least 3 mm of clearance between the caliper and the inside of your wheel, as well as between the caliper and the barrel. Wheel size matters, but these spacing requirements are based on stock wheels.
You are welcome to send us photos and measurements to help confirm fitment.
Where can I find the minimum wheel size required for MGP Caliper Covers?
MGP provides the minimum wheel size in the fitment table located on every product page. Please verify your wheels meet or exceed the minimum wheel size requirement.
FITMENT
Will The Caliper Covers Fit My Vehicle?
Our Caliper Covers are made to certain specifications that are unique to each year, make and model of every vehicle.
We specifically designed our Caliper Covers to work with most OEM wheels. While most aftermarket wheels do provide additional clearance, we highly recommend that you confirm spacing before placing your order. Our Caliper Covers only require 3mm of clearance (about two stacked quarters) between your stock brake calipers and factory wheels.
Do My Wheels Provide Enough Space?
A minimum wheel size requirement is set for every vehicle. Clearance issues with aftermarket or factory wheels are rare, but every wheel design is different.
If you have questions about the wheel clearance on your vehicle, we advise that you check the space in two specific spots before ordering using the guide below.
- Spot #1: Space between the outboard face of the caliper and the spoke of the wheel should be at least 1/8″
- Spot #2: Space between the top of the caliper and the wheel dish should be at least 1/2″
If you are still unsure or have more specific questions, please contact our live tech support.

What are MGP Caliper Covers made from?
All covers are manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum and engineered to last. Made in the United States and TIG welded for years of durable service, they are then powder-coated for durability and appearance.
Are MGP Caliper Covers safe?
Yes, MGP Brake Covers are safe. We are officially licensed with major car manufacturers such as Ford, Stellantis, Acura, and Honda. In order to be licensed, each manufacturer undergoes testing to ensure the product is safe and secure. MGP utilizes a patented stainless steel fastening system designed for security as well as ease of maintenance.
Do I need to modify my brake calipers?
No modification or changes need to be made to your brake calipers for installation of the MGP Caliper cover. This is a 100% bolt on application and it’s also easy to remove when you need to change your brake pads.
Can I use them on my rear brakes?
MGP Caliper Covers are only meant for use on disc brakes, so if your vehicle has drum brakes in the back you will need to order just the front set.
I have custom wheels, will these caliper covers fit?
All caliper covers are engineered and designed to fit with a stock set of wheels. Typically your aftermarket wheels will follow the same guidelines, but in the event you have changed the lower knuckle or the wheel hub assembly all together you can check your brake clearance easily.
MGP Caliper covers require just 3mm of clearance from the inner face of your wheel. Check your clearance between your custom wheels and your brake caliper to make sure these covers are a bolt on fit.
Do MGP Caliper Covers trap in heat?
Easily one of the most asked of MGP Caliper cover questions, and for good reason. The heat generated by the friction between the brake pads and discs can exponentially increase and eventually lead to brake fluid heating to the point of ineffectiveness.
This is commonly known as brake fade, and it’s certainly a factor you want to monitor no matter what modifications you have done to your vehicle. When at the track or aggressively driving you can often feel this effect through a loss of pressure in your brake pedal.
To answer the question above however, the installation of MGP caliper covers will not trap in heat. In fact, research and studies performed by MGP have actually found them to decrease brake caliper heat.
MGP also takes it a step further by heat soak testing each and every application to ensure that their product is completely safe. This testing is performed off road as well as on the track resulting in a product that looks great and is stress tested for long term life and durability.
INSTALLATION
Can I install these covers myself?
Yes! MGP Caliper Covers are designed for quick and easy installation. Each set comes with installation instructions and stainless-steel clips that attach directly to your calipers, and with basic tools, most installations take under an hour.
Can I speak with tech support to walk me through the installation?
Every set comes with instructions and is designed for easy installation, but we’re here if you need help! Our live tech support is available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM PST. You can reach us at 1-877-995-0003 (option 1).

Having Fitment or Installation Issues? Here's What to Do
If your MGP Caliper Covers don't appear to fit correctly, or you're having trouble installing them, a few quick checks may help resolve the issue. If you're unsure about an adjustment or need help at any point, our Technical Support team is here to assist.
1. Check Your Order and Vehicle Fitment
Before troubleshooting, confirm the following:
- Your vehicle information and VIN are consistent with the application selected for your order.
- The parts you received match your order and part number.
- Your caliper matches the reference photos provided for your application.
- You've reviewed the installation instructions and confirmed the correct cover and clip placement.
2. Common Fitment Issues and Quick Fixes
- Cover rubbing against the wheel rim: The cover's mounting arms may need a slight adjustment to move the cover away from the rim. Aftermarket wheels or certain wheel designs may require additional clearance. Contact Technical Support if you're unsure whether an adjustment or wheel spacer is appropriate for your setup.
-
Cover rubbing against the inside of the wheel barrel: Check your wheel size and the clearance between the cover and the inside of the wheel. The mounting bridges may need to be adjusted inward or outward to create sufficient clearance.
- Clip rubbing against the brake rotor: Check the clip placement and clearance between the clip and rotor. If adjustment is needed, remove the clip from the caliper before making any changes. The clip gap can be reduced by gently squeezing the clip with a bench vise or vise grips. Reinstall the clip and check the clearance. Repeat the adjustment as needed until the clip clears the rotor without rubbing.
- Clip rubbing against the inside of the wheel: Double-check the clip placement and wheel size. Depending on the wheel design and available clearance, a trimmed clip may be necessary. Contact Technical Support for guidance if you're unsure how to proceed.
Always verify that the covers and clips have adequate clearance from the wheel and brake components before driving.
3. Still Having Issues? Contact Technical Support
If these checks don't resolve the issue, or you're unsure how to proceed, contact our Technical Support team through the contact form in the top-right corner of our website. Select “I need help with installation.”
Please include:
- Your order number and VIN
- Photos of your calipers, covers, and clips
- A description of the fitment issue
- Photos showing where the cover or clip is rubbing, if applicable
Our team will review the information and help determine the appropriate next step. Depending on the circumstances, this may include additional installation guidance, a replacement, or an approved return for a refund. Custom-cover exceptions must also be approved by Technical Support.
If a return is approved, our team will provide the RMA number and shipping instructions. Please do not ship any product back before receiving approval.
MGP does not reimburse installation or labor costs.
If you're looking to return a product for reasons unrelated to fitment or installation, please review our Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges Policy for eligibility and instructions.
CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS
What colors and engravings do you offer?
You can browse our popular standard options for easy selection and decision making, or go premium with fully customizable designs. Choose your color and style directly on the product page using the buttons, or select “customize” to select custom colors, designs, or engravings. Please note that all custom options typically require about 2 weeks for manufacturing before shipping.
Do you offer licensed products?
Yes! We’re the only licensed manufacturer for caliper covers, which means we can offer authentic Ford, Chevy, Jeep, Honda, and many other official manufacturer logos that no other company can provide. Choose from our standard options or go premium with fully customizable colors, designs, and engravings.
Can I Get Custom Covers Made To Fit My Wheels?
No, unfortunately we provide a minimum wheel size to ensure there’s enough clearance for the caliper covers. Anything smaller than the minimum wheel size listed will not have enough clearance and the covers will rub against the wheels.
Our Caliper Covers require 3mm of clearance (about two stacked quarters) between your stock brake calipers and factory wheels.
If you do not meet the minimum wheel size (noted on every product page), we do not recommend purchasing caliper covers.
